SAVE IN SEPTEMBER MONTH OF THE TESTAMENT
DO YOU HAVE A HOUSE, A DEPARTMENT OR A LAND? IT IS TIME TO MAKE YOUR TESTAMENT AND AVOID PROBLEMS TO YOUR LOVED BEINGS. THIS MONTH THERE IS FREE ADVICE AND DISCOUNTS OF UP TO 50%.
Make your will usually costs three thousand to six thousand pesos, but this month, thanks to the partnership of the Government of Mexico City and the College of Notaries, the process has a universal price of 1,334 pesos and 444 pesos for adults greater.
The campaign "September, month of the testament" is held every year in order that notaries from all over the country offer free advice to citizens, extend their hours of attention and reduce their fees even by half.
This initiative was born more than 15 years ago, largely due to the lack of testamentary culture that exists in the country, since only 5% of Mexicans of legal age have granted a will. To date, there is a record of only 5 million 425 thousand wills, according to figures from the National Register of Notices of Will (RENAT).
Last year, it was possible to grant 275 thousand 796 wills and so far in 2018 they are close to 43 thousand.

2. CDMX (14%)
3. Jalisco (10%)
4. State of Mexico (10%)
5. Nuevo León (7%)

Granting a will is not a death sentence
Did you know that you can make your will from 16 years of age and that it is not necessary to present a list of all your assets to carry out the process during this campaign?
The reality is that carrying out this important process is far from being a death sentence or a matter of "big people". It is an act of responsibility to maintain family harmony by avoiding future legal conflicts.
"It is time to redouble efforts so that we all approach a notary this September to give legal security to our family through the will. Granting a will is very easy, it is more a matter of responsibility than of wealth, because regardless of whether a person has many or few assets, their heirs must go through the succession process after the death of a relative ", explained José Antonio Manzanero Escutia, president of the National College of Mexican Notaries.
By definition, the will is the act by which a person designates the persons who upon his death will be beneficiaries of his property and property. To complete the process you only have to go -with your official identification-, with a notary public, who will ask you some questions to guide you in the decision making process.
Where to go to take advantage of the discounts?
There is no better time to grant a will than when there are no pressures due to illness, accident or a stressful situation that affects your state of mind and judgment when establishing who you will leave your assets.
To take advantage of the "September, month of the testament" discounts, you can go to the Municipal Presidency that corresponds to you or to the College of Notaries of your Locality.
